Bio: Candace Jensen has been practicing yoga for nearly 20 years. She has taught public yoga classes in California, Philadelphia and Vermont, and private classes for art institutions since 2012. She is a 500 hour Certified teacher of Tantric Hatha Yoga in the Sri Vidya tradition, and also has a 300 hour certification in Ayurveda coaching and wellness. She completed her 500 hour certification through Sri Yoga Teacher Trainings in San Francisco with her teachers, Jean Mazzei and Brenna Geehan. In addition, Candace has completed over 600 hours of additional training and study through Sri Yoga at the Himalayan Institute, Shakti School Ayurveda & the ParaYoga program. Fluid Yoga: All levels/ All ages welcome
Wednesdays 8:00-9:00 am October 11th-December 13th This one hour Vinyasa flow of moderate intensity is a practice to energize the body and calm the mind. Dynamic postures- inspired by the elements of Earth, Water, Fire and Air -are sequenced to build strength and flexibility, and improve mobility and balance. Through breath work and movement, the goal of this class is to cultivate focused awareness, mindfulness and intention both on and off the mat. Brittany Frost is an artist, gardener and fermentation enthusiast living with her family in Townshend, VT. She spends her time foraging, making pottery, and cooking with fire. She received her 200-RYT certification through the Fluid Yoga School from Jen Frey of Village Yoga and Kevin Gale of Stil Studios. She completed her HEALing yoga certification in July 2023. Fees $10-20 sliding scale, cash Venmo. No one turned away for lack of funds. Drop ins welcome. |
To be prepared for class at Main Street Arts;
Simply wear something comfortable to move in (pajamas, yoga clothes, gym clothes, etc). You may want socks and a sweater or a light jacket to wear for savasana resting pose.
Requests for areas of body that need attention, or questions about the yoga practice are always welcome.
Please bring a yoga mat if you have one— we will have a few extra yoga mats available, as well as some yoga blankets and blocks, but if you have props and a mat that you enjoy practicing with, please bring it along to make sure there are enough to go around!
