String Band with Jill Newton
String Band welcomes new members! Come and enjoy Main Street Arts’ longest running educational class. String Band is Main Street Arts’ longest running educational class, which meets every Wednesday afternoon from 5 to 6:30. Musicians at any level are invited to come and enjoy playing traditional fiddle and dance tunes from around the world. New England, French Canadian, Celtic, and Scandinavian tunes are all included in its ever expanding repertoire. Some members prefer to learn by ear, but most appreciate having the music printed out. The String Band enjoys playing for family dances, and over the years has played for many Main Street Arts events and fundraisers. All string instruments are welcome.
Newcomers may attend a complementary class to check it out. |
