Qigong Practice with John Bohhanon Participants in this class will learn and practice a variety of exercises, postures, and poses developed in China over many centuries. All of these fall under the title of Qigong, or “healthy breath cultivation” and are designed to help maintain a healthy and balanced body and spirit. Students will experience single exercises, sets of exercises meant to be practiced together, sequences of postures done as a flowing form, and various meditation techniques. This class is appropriate for both beginning and experienced practitioners. No special equipment is required. The group currently meets outdoors three times each week, weather permitting, for approximately an hour each session. John Bohannon has been practicing qigong, primarily tai chi, for 30 years and has been helping others learn and enjoy these practices for about 20 years. He has been leading groups practicing qigong in this area for five years. John enjoys the community the practice builds almost as much as the qigong itself.
