Beginning Watercolor with Jean Cannon
Explore the luscious medium of Watercolor! These sessions will focus on basic watercolor skills such as color mixing, wet-in-wet washes, dry brush, and glazing. Jean Cannon has been drawing and painting since childhood. Her work ranges in scope from miniatures to murals. Current preferences in media are watercolor and acrylic. She is a professional art teacher with 20 years of experience in high schools in Barre and Burlington, Vermont, and has taught art to all ages at various private and community institutions. Jean currently teaches drawing, painting, art history and design at Community College of Vermont and is a signature member of the Vermont Watercolor Society and is its current Exhibitions Co-Director. Recent awards for her watercolors include the Green Mountain Watercolor Exhibition in Waitsfield, Vermont in the summer of 2013 and the Vermont Watercolor Society Annual awards show in 2010, 2018, 2019, and 2020. jeancannon.com
