Ways to Give
Watch this video and see how the arts are impacting our community!
On behalf of all the program participants, thank you for considering a gift to Main Street Arts. We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and your gift is tax deductible as allowed by law. Here are some ways to give:
The Annual Fund
Main Street Art’s Annual Fund helps support the many everyday aspects vital to run an average of 50 programs and events every year. MSA runs streamlined programs with two part-time staff in a well-kept historical building program. Make your donation online, either as a one-time or recurring monthly donation.

Planned Giving
Donor Advised Fund
A donor advised fund (DAF) is an excellent and tax-efficient way to make your charitable contribution. Simply recommend Main Street Arts for a grant distribution and supply our Tax ID # 222888176 and our address: P.O. Box 100, Saxtons River, VT.
Gifts of Stock
Gifts of appreciated stock or mutual fund shares, offer significant tax benefits and are significant gifts to Main Street Arts. This electronic transfer of securities is safe, fast, and easy.
IRA Charitable Rollover
For individuals age 70 ½ or older, the IRA Charitable Rollover allows you to make tax-free charitable gifts of up to $100,000 per year directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to Main Street Arts. These otherwise taxable distributions can satisfy your annual Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) and exclude these funds from your taxable income. If married, your spouse can also transfer up to $100,000 from his or her IRA annually.
Here are some important benefits/considerations:
IRA contributions can be made to any tax exempt 501(c)(3) organization, e.g. Main Street Arts.
You may designate your gift as you have done in the past (unrestricted, music program, etc.)
Beneficial for individuals who do not, or can no longer, itemize deductions on their income tax
Gifts can be transferred tax-free from your IRA directly to Main Street Arts
Transfers can be applied toward your annual Required Minimum Distribution (RMD)
Withdrawals are not subject to annual charitable deduction limitations
Bequests
Please remember Main Street Arts your will or trust.
Most people know how important it is to have a will. Once you have provided for the people you love, a bequest is one way to ensure that your values continue to make a difference in the world.
It is easy to include a bequest in your will when you write it, or you can add a simple codicil to your existing will with a provision for a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or a remainder after other gifts.
Matching Gifts
Matching Gifts can double your gifts. If your employer has a matching gift program, be sure to send your company’s matching form with your contribution.
Please contact Executive Director Ashley Storrow if you would like to discuss planned giving. Ashley can be reached at 802-869-2960 or at [email protected].
