Unlocking Your Creativity
Book group based on the Artist’s Way
Do you ever feel like you have the urge to create something but don’t know how to get started, feel blocked, or make excuses not to finish? This class is based on the book, The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron, a seminal book on connecting to the creative voice within yourself.
In this class, we will use readings and exercises from on the Artist’s Way as a launching place for individual time to write, draw, paint, or move followed by a short group discussion. The medium(s) of choice are irrelevant, be it acting, music, writing, painting, filmmaking, dance or whatever craft is to your particular interest.
The class is designed to bring about a resurgence of creativity and prolific output in those who feel that their well has run dry. Participants will be given the option to follow the exact program laid out in the Artist Way, or to use it as a launching place to explore at one’s own pace. The group will be lightly facilitated by Ashley Storrow, with a strong emphasis on the collective process.

“No matter what your age or your life path, whether making art is your career or your hobby or your dream, it is not too late or too egotistical or too selfish or too silly to work on your creativity.”
