Poetry in the Village with Catherine Despont
Bring the poems you love, your own or your favorite authors’, and let the words wash over you. We will gather in a circle. Maybe around a fire. We will share and explore poetry as a register of experience. There will be books available for finding poems. We will read then for an hour, round-robin, no introductions or applause. Afterwards will be an opportunity to discuss what we heard or realized. Different themes announced each month. Explorations of poetic form, seasons, and the art of recitation. Hosted by Catherine Despont, and guests. Third Saturday of each month Oct 16, Nov 20, Dec 18, Jan 15 6:00 – 8:00 pm $5 suggested donation |
