Susan guides participants on how to create a good mosaic design, using color and
composition for an outstanding finished mosaic mirror art piece. Students are given a
12”x12” wooden base with a 6”x6” beveled mirror, mosaic tile, and other found object
pieces.
Day #1 is spent learning the process of making a mosaic art piece, with instructions on
how to create a mosaic design. All mosaic tiles are cemented on the wooden backer by
the end of Day 1, as the pieces need to dry overnight.
Day #2, students are instructed on grout application, applying grout, and cleaning tiles
to finish their piece.
