In this 6-week series, we will learn different bookmaking techniques. We will explore sewn books with the Western codex format as well as folded book structures and custom-made containers for them. We will also touch on unique and unusual book forms.
You will finish this class having created 2-3 books as well as having gained the knowledge to make many more- handmade books are amazing vehicles for creative expression — and they make great gifts!
Basic materials will be provided, but participants will be encouraged to source their own materials for covers and embellishments to personalize their books.
