Help Main Street Arts raise $20,000 by June 30'th!
Watch this video and see how the arts are impacting our community!
Dear Friend, In a time when the world is in turmoil, playful arts experiences like those at Main Street Arts are especially important. Through play, we experience healing, fun, and joy; we grow by trying something new; we make something as part of a group; and we build community. A few examples from the first three months of 2025:
18 kids ages 9-14 play multiple roles in “Once in the Time of Trolls” in three sold-out performances.65 people over age 60 explore free Creative Aging classes in areas such as printmaking, theater games, and bookmaking, taught by experienced teaching artists.18 adult women sing out joyfully in Red Tent Singers.149 WNESU students learn to express themselves confidently on stage.
You can help us continue this work in the coming year—and do more. We want every person in our region to have access to the benefits of the arts. To do this, we need $20,000 to fund our plans for outreach and accessibility for the rest of this year and into 2026. Will you support our vision?
With your support, we could expand our current free theater programs in the Windham Northeast Supervisory Union to include grades 3-8. By practicing theater skills such as expressing emotions, relating to one another, improvising, and performing for an audience, the students build their social-emotional learning and language arts skills. By holding programs in the schools, we include all students.
With your support, we could keep our courses atMSA affordable and provide scholarships. MSA courses cost less than most area arts education. This is intentional, because we want to lower barriers to participation. This year, MSA is offering four summer camps for ages 5-13. With your support, we can offer high-quality instruction at an accessible price and increase the number of scholarships we provide.
With your support, we could continue to reach out to other locations such as the Bellows Falls Senior Center, where we are holding a free cyanotype photography class this spring. Transportation is a challenge for many. Where else could we engage more people? Let us know your ideas and help us make connections.
Whether you give $25 or $2,500, we carefully spend each dollar. Good management is something we take seriously. When we stretch to fund our vision, people for all ages and walks of life can experience the joy of the arts. Please contribute what you can so that we can fulfill our mission of strengthening personal and community well-being through diverse arts experiences and social connection. With gratitude for being part of our vision,
