Dance Classes at Main Street Arts
Matt Peake and Friends will offer the following dance opportunities Thursday evenings 6:30-9PM:
Mixed Rhythm Classes and Dances: 7-9PM
Three or four weeks every month, we will offer classes in Swing, Foxtrot, Waltz, Rumba, or Salsa, and follow that with a continuous playlist of Swing, Waltz, and Latin music for the remainder of the two hours. Classes and Dances are on Thursday evenings from 7 to 9. For newcomers, we offer a Basics Review from 6:30-7. The cost is $10 for the two-hour period of class and dancing.
Classes are mixed levels—no experience required.
No partner necessary.
Cost is $10 per person for the two hours.
Please wear clean-soled shoes in which you can pivot comfortably on a wooden floor.
Swing Dances+: 7-9PM
Once a month, we will offer Swing Dances+ with our DJ extraordinaire, Clarke Eastman, who will play swing music from the last 100 years, "PLUS" some waltzes, and maybe a rumba or tango to provide a little variety. Dances are on Thursday evenings from 7 to 9. For newcomers, we offer a Basics Review from 6:30-7.
No partner necessary.
