Discover the art of cyanotype photography—an early photographic process that transforms sunlight, water, and everyday objects into striking blue-and-white images. Using specially coated, non-toxic, light-sensitive paper, you’ll place objects of your choice, expose them to the sun, and develop the images in water. This 1840s technique remains almost unchanged after nearly 200 years, producing timeless, captivating results.
We’ll start with creating cyanotypes on paper using objects, then progress to working with digital negatives.
This in-person workshop offers clear instruction, demonstrations, and weekly creative challenges in a supportive, connected learning community. No experience is necessary—but if you do have experience, we’ll help you take it further!
