This week-long camp will focus on introducing students to the three basic methods of hand-building: pinch, coil, and slab. Through a series of guided assignments, students will have the opportunity to explore these techniques, and then, time depending, work on projects of their own design. Over the course of the week, students will make a body of work that will then be fired after the class finishes. There will be a follow-up session scheduled a few weeks out for students to glaze their work, and then they will be able to pick it up when it is done.
SAFETY: At Main Street Arts Summer Camps, the safety of each participant is our highest priority. We take all reasonable precautions to ensure your child's physical and emotional safety. However, as in any other experience, the risk of injury is always present and cannot be entirely eliminated. Knowing that there are risks, I will not hold Main Street Arts responsible for any risks, injuries, or loss, known or unknown, that may arise out of my or my child's participation in Main Street Arts Summer Camp.
CANCELLATION POLICY: We understand that plans change! However, because we are a small nonprofit, cancellations can make it more challenging for us to manage camp enrollment. Our policy is that cancellations made up to one month (4 weeks) prior to the camp week will receive a full refund, less a $25 administrative fee. For cancellations less than one month prior to the date, refunds will be made only if we can fill the space. We are unfortunately unable to offer refunds in the case of camper illness or inability to attend for other reasons.
