Community Fire
This monthly fire is an open invitation to meet the people living around you; a free-form conversation about the things that keep us going and connected; a place to share a story, or bring a song, or enjoy some company without saying anything at all. Do you know how to start a friction fire? Bow drills, hand drills, flints, all welcome. We will devote the first part of each gathering (i.e. lighting the fire) to the art of fire making. Fire as heat, fire as hearth, fire as hope, fire as crucible, and desire. Dress warmly. Bring a thermos. Set some intentions. Hosted through fall and winter and pandemic. With Catherine Despont. First Saturday of each month Oct 2, Nov 6, Dec 4, Jan 1, Feb 5, Mar 5, April 2 5:30 – 8:30 pm $5 suggested donation |
