SUMMER CAMPS

Wildbrook Forest Theatre Camp @ MSA
July 21-25 9am-3pm Ages 8-12 $320/per student Teacher: Trish Roberts Immersed in the Vermont Academy forest each session behind Main Street Arts, we will play theatre games (including lots of improv), learn theatre warm-ups for our voices and bodies, sing, story-tell, explore and play in the forest, and rehearse for the final performance. We will work on character building activities, various acting techniques and set and costume design. Drop off and pick up are at MSA. Participants will meet in the Main Street Arts building and walk 15 minutes to and from the Vermont Academy Woods. The Main Street Arts building will be used during inclement weather. |
Arts Discovery Camp
July 28-August 1 9am-1pm Ages 5-8 $280/student Teachers: Ashley Storrow & Julianne Rosewarne This week-long camp is all about artistic exploration! Singing, games, movement expression activities, and unique indoor and outdoor art projects will all be in full effect during this dynamic week. Campers will be introduced to instruments, and they will pair movements and instrumentation with songs and a story. |
The True Story of Robin Hood July 28-August 1 9am-3pm Ages 9-12 $320/per student Teacher: Putnam Smith What if Robin Hood wasn’t, actually, Robin Hood? What if all the legendary adventures of the infamous man from Nottingham- stealing from the rich and giving to the poor, splitting an arrow with a perfectly aimed arrow, gathering a band of outlaws in Sherwood Forest - if all these exploits were in fact the work of… a woman, better known by the name of Maid Marion? Join this comedic re-telling of the classic Robin Hood story, with a twist. There will be swashbuckling, an archery competition, a little song and dance, and a quiver full of comedy. |
Storytelling- Let’s Take to the Street!
August 4th-8th Ages 9-13 9-3pm $320/person Teachers: Ashley Storrow and special guest artists What does home mean to you? What does it mean to other people? In this camp, students will take to the streets of Saxtons River to explore the village and interview community members. Students will craft stories and work with multiple artists to make their stories come to life in visual, musical, theatrical, or written mediums. This camp is perfect for curious souls who want to explore expressing their voice in multiple styles. Students will have the opportunity to craft a story into a final piece. Time for relaxation, play, and sharing will be built in. |

Scholarships
To reserve your spot for camp, please register online, and pay by check or cash.
Then, email [email protected]. In the email, tell us how much you can afford to pay for camps.
Most of our scholarships are 25-50% of the cost of camps.
Full scholarships are possible, but we try to spread the assistance to as many families as possible.
All scholarships are awarded by July 1st.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans change! Our policy is that cancellations made up to one month (4 weeks) prior to the
camp week will receive a full refund. For cancellations less than one month prior to the date, refunds will be made only if
we can fill the space. We are unfortunately unable to offer refunds in the case of sickness or inability to attend for other reasons.
