Creating a mosaic is like putting together a sparkling puzzle that you design yourself. Susan shows you how easy it is to make a fun mosaic design, using color and composition for an outstanding finished mosaic mirror art piece. Students will be given a 12”x12” wooden base with a 6”x6” beveled mirror adhered to the center of the base and pre-cut mosaic tile, mirror tile and other found object pieces to cover the area outside the mirror. There are two classes scheduled and each class is 2-hours.
Day #1 you learn the process of making a mosaic art piece, with instructions on how to create an artful design. All mosaic tiles will be cemented on the wooden backer by the end of the day, and all mosaic designs dry overnight.
Day #2, students are instructed on mixing grout, its application and finishing your piece.
