​Vermont Artist Michael Zerphy performs 'Bedutzed!' his new autobiographical solo show at Main Street Arts, Saxtons River Vt.

​BEDUTZED! is an autobiographical story of the journey from Zerphy’s childhood on a farm in rural Pennsylvania dutch country to a life on the road as a clown, fool, and storyteller. It’s about the discomfort and necessity of finding a home somewhere in the in-betweenness of things. This project has been two years in the making and is an intergenerational collaboration between Michael Zerphy and his daughter, Olivia Zerphy, who directs the piece.

Michael is a storyteller, clown, poet, musician, banjo jokester and mirth instigator. His inventive and diverse performances defy conventional description and have captivated audiences of all ages across the US and Europe for decades. His shows include FoolzJourney, Zany Acts, ZerphyFest!, Cahoots and The Wacky Zerphy Boys. He has presented performances, workshops and residencies in schools and theaters across the US and is on the Performing Arts Rosters of Vermont and New Hampshire and is a juried member of the New England Common Ground Artist Registry.
